It is with great pleasure that we announce that the San Francisco Fire Department will be the recipient of the 2013 Pomeroy Humanitarian Award. On Friday, May 17, 2013, 400 guests are expected to gather at the Center for the 29th Annual Banner of Love Gala. Chief Joanne Hayes-White will accept the award on behalf of the San Francisco Fire Department. The evening includes hosted cocktails, a family style dinner with a silent and live auction.
As many of you know, the San Francisco Fire Department is the heart beat of the City. Their service and commitment continues to distinguish them to the citizens of San Francisco. Over the years the San Francisco Fire Department (S.F.F.D.) has become a part of the Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center community and has supported the Center through many of department affiliations;
- Fire house tours for our Center participants
- Donations from the “Toy’s for Tot” program
- Financial support from Fire Department Union Local 798
- Medical emergency calls from the Center
It is time to celebrate the services of the Center and the valued support of the S.F.F.D.! As we continue to celebrate 60 years of service to the community we want to enlist your help to make this a successful fundraising event.
