2023 Pomeroy Prom: an Unmasked Success

On May 19, Pomeroy held its annual all San Francisco Prom for teens with disabilities from 6-9pm. The event, “A Night with the Stars” featured all the fun that we expect to see with prom: limo rides, beautiful boutonnieres and corsages, a photo booth, a fantastic meal, snacks, and dancing. Our main hall was beautifully appointed with decor that called up images of old Hollywood and Noir film. The attendees were gorgeous and ready to dance!

This was Pomeroy’s first unmasked prom since the beginning of the pandemic and there were about 125 people in attendance, representing all the high schools in the greater San Francisco Bay Area — about 100 coming from outside our own programming. We are thrilled at the success of this event and can’t wait until the next one!
